Кому удалось подружить двух монстров ?
После установки Panda Titanium 2006 Antivirus+Antispywar 5.02 айс стал глухо виснуть на любых bpx-ах.
ОС-WINXP Pro Corp SP2+All Patches.
Intel 865 P4 3000 HT GF-MX4 440
Ставил DS 2.6 + OSINFO.DAT
Еще почему-то не срабатывал bpx MessageboxA.

попробуй breakinsharedmods=on

да и удали антивирь, проверь без него всё опять в норме будет?

лан терь по теме YURETZS лучший антивирь, это прямые руки и небольшая работа мозга,
тогда всё будет ок... ну можно комп раз в месяц сканить, чем нить шустреньким...
и ещё совет если сайс упирается, поставь олли... хотя бы меньше головной боли будет

Дело тут не в антивире, Панду поставил потому как станция критична к выходу в инет, и к томуже нужен файрвол и антиSpyWare, каспер с дрвебом отдыхают.
По теме.
Поставил DS 3.2 + osinfo + загрузил .nms
Вроде все стало без проблем.
Жму Ctrl-D
Айс говорит:

В чем может быть проблема ?

Разобрался.
Деинсталлировал айс, снес панду, отключил временно все сетевые карты и некоторые сетевые службы.
Затем поставил DS 3.2, поставил все обновления из OSInfo.zip, загрузил свежие .pdb и скомпилил в .nms
подправил Winice.dat и в добавок отключил HyperThreading.
Всё прекрасно заработало, единственное IceExt 0.65 заругался на "Error Can't find PAT_CheckCondition template in memory".
Затем поставил Панду, настроил файрвол, обновил базы, всё ок, Айс работает превосходно.
И наконец включаю HyperThreading и ... облом , на любом бряке глухо виснет.
Я конечно подозревал что дело может быть в том самом гипертрэдинге, но как-то прочитал ветку Hexa на reng.ru, где говорилось о том что айс глухо виснет на 915 чипсете с включенным HT, но в той же ветке он сообщил, что на 865-ом всё ок.
У меня как раз 865-ый чипсет.
Выходит SoftIce не дружит с HT.
Кто еще сталкивался с такими проблемами, может быть попробовать отключить Support Pentium в айсе ?

PS HT - развод. попытка Intel впаривать 1,5 процессора по цене одного.
судя по кол-ву постов про глюки айса, удачная....

Единственный плюс HT, который заметил - это при сжатии DVD в DivX загружает проц на половину, можно параллельно заниматься другими делами, без HT идёт сильный загруз проца и всё остальное жутко тормозит.

Написал письмо в Compuware.

Problems with hyperthreading should be fixed if you install 3.2.1 of Driver
Studio. Do both the host and target installs for a single processor setup
and remember to reboot after.

This patch provides several fixes for DriverStudio 3.2 which include item
for Softice and Visual Softice. Below is link to the zip file containing
the patch. Download this file and unzip it to a temp directory, then follow
the instruction below to install.

There are two sections to the install. One for the target machine and one
for the host machine. NOTE: A single machine requires both the host and
target files.

1 Target Machine installation

· Unzip the files to a temporary directory.

· Copy the .sys and .dat files from the <temp
directories>\target directory to the machines system32\drivers directory.

· Copy the appropriate siksym.sys file from the
<temp directories>\target\<machine type> directory to the machines
system32\drivers directory.

2 Host Machine installation

· Unzip the files to a temporary directory.

· Copy the .dat files from the <temp directories>\Host
directory to the machines system32\drivers directory.

· Copy the .dat files from the <temp directories>\Host
directory to the machines Compuware\DriverStudio\VisualSoftICE directory.

· Copy DS.exe from the <temp directories>\Host directory
to the machines Compuware\DriverStudio directory.


3. If your target machine will be using Standard Softice as a stand alone
debugger at some point then you will also need to copy to the
system32\Drivers directory the following two files that are located in the
target subdirectory of this patch.
