First off, sorry for the post being in English, but the only Russian I know is "da" and "niet" :P

What im wondering is how hard it would be to learn how to crack simple stuff, im thinking of :

1.I get a program which has a 30 day limit.
2.I want to use softice or something to set a breakpoint when the program checks to see if the 30 day limit is over and redirect the code to "30 day limit is not over yet" rather than "30 day limit is over".
3.Be able to patch the exe.

Now I did some coding a LONG time ago, but I forgot pretty much everything, however I do know how cracking works and so on, but only wanted to learn it VERY simple (im not looking to crack hardcore protection).

So my question(s) :

1.How much time would I have to put into learning this?
2.What sort of tools do I need?
3.Where do babies come from?


I'd actually love to be able to crack FL studio (ASR protect + nag screen + disabled saving) but im guessing thats going to be out of my reach for a long time?

Interesting, I might give some easy programs a go soon, its ASM when you use softice im guessing, which is kind of cool because I know very very very small amounts of it. 30 day limits maybe easy for you guys to do but to me it would probably take a week or so :P

Ok, I'll go do a little reading and see what I come up with, hopefully I can get myself to a point where the question I ask wont be annoying

The third: exclude sharewares with present-day protectors ;) Before you should learn basics of assembler. It's not be programming lessons, may be you would learn ASM from debugger and reference book. Next, system architecture knowledge recomended (necessarily WinAPI). Next stage include hacker dictionary lessons, such as "KG/AM". This word you will write under alien code sources If you have coding expirience, it's will be you + and two pluses if it is C++
