Hi, I wanna unpack "Web Content Extractor" which is;
- protected by ASProtect 2.1x SKE (PEid says)
- downloaded from newprosoft.com/webcontentextractor/wcesetup.exe (innosetup file)

A proggie called Stripper v2.03 already failed and it's very hard to find proper tutorials in English.
Anyone can unpack the exe file?

Try to use stripper v2.13 (last beta), cause version 2.03 cann't unpack last ASPR version.

I saw this thread and thought it would be better to post my request here.

I need help in extracting a setup program from a "wrapper." When you execute wrapper the setup program will extract itself if it finds a valid older .exe file, or if you enter a valid email address and serial number.

Now I'm a newbee to this scene, but I have tried to solve this myself (obviously without success)

Here is the info from Exinfo PE:

"Generic check - Aspack v2.1x -> Alexey Solodovnikov - Overlay Data : Nothing discovered "

"unpack Stripper.exe v.2.07 (not 2.11) or AspackDie 1.3d - from /www.exetools.com/unpackers.htm or ASPack unpacker by PE_Kill 2006"

I have tried all of the programs (and many more) suggested by Exinfo PE, except PE_Kill's, ASPack_u_11, which didn't run of my system (Win2K SP4).

Thanks for your reply. I tried stripper_v207ht. I used the defaults (didn't see Overlay in the options), and although it says that it successfully unpacked the program, the output file is only 364KB

I tried to unpack with Stripper 2.13 but failed...
I also tried to unpack with VoX Script, it successfully dump the files, but I cannot recover IAT.

Plz let me have some hints or plz unpack above exe file.

I got IAT 456000, RVA of IAT 56000, Size of IAT 26C, and OEP is 449C19 and RVA of OEP 49C19.
I failed to reconstruct executable...what did I missing?

I was never able to successfully unpack this file: rapidshare.com/files/19507826/ntp510wp.exe.html

The best that I could do was to extract the setup.exe file from the wrapper, but I got an error message when I tried to execute it.

I would appreciate it if someone could extract it for me.

Hi guys, need some help with unpackin' ASProtect 2.1x SKE -> Alexey Solodovnikov [Overlay] as PEiD says.
There is an .exe file dump.ru/files/4/492693467/ size ~850Kb I need only unpacked and working file, not cracked. While trying to unpack with stripper the result was:
error in finding last SEH, (drn == 0)..
error in reaching last SEH..
unpacked file was not created..
done..
Could someone help to solve this!?

Anyways, I'm also looking for the full version of web content extractor, but the version I find here is still a trial version. Am I doing something wrong?
