This is pretty common situation especially with the books published ten years ago.
In the description it says that "The CD-ROM includes programs for system analysis and an antiviral utility intended for investigating the system and detecting rootkits and keyloggers".
In my humble opinion, you can find these programs on line if you know their names, or download even much better programs for system analysis and an antiviral utility and happily forget about that CD.
There is really nothing special there.
